Katie primarily grew up on the family farm in the Grampians, Victoria. She graduated from Medicine at Monash University, Melbourne in 2010.
Katie was working and studying in the field of Obstetrics in the busy Melbourne hospitals when she decided to have a sea change. Her sister drove her across the Nullarbor and dropped her off in Geraldton, where she commenced General Practice training at the start of 2019.
Katie has since obtained her General Practice Fellowship, adding to her Advanced Obstetrics Diploma. She loves the holistic approach that General Practice brings. She especially appreciates the unique set-up Geraldton offers- the ability to combine both General Practice and Obstetrics.
Katie is fully credentialed to provide specialist GP Obstetric care at both Geraldton Regional Hospital and St John of God Hospital, Geraldton. She is able to perform caesarean sections, instrumental deliveries and point-of-care obstetric ultrasound. She also provides contraceptive care.
Whilst ‘in the office’, Katie delights in seeing a variety of patients- both young and old, male and female. Katie works on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
When not in the practice, Katie is usually out along the foreshore having a coffee, or throwing the ball with her much loved dog on the beach, or pottering around the garden with her (also much loved) husband and baby.
