Dr Janie Amith grew up on a farm in Denmark, WA, before completing her medical degree at the University of Western Australia. She has worked as a junior doctor in Albany, Broome and Perth gaining valuable experience across both regional and tertiary hospitals. Janie recently moved to Geraldton and is excited to be joining the team at Midwest Aero Medical as a GP registrar. She enjoys the variety of general practice and values building long term relationships with her patients. Janie has a particular interest in women’s health, rural medicine, chronic disease management and paediatrics. She is also passionate about preventative health and supporting patients to make positive and sustainable changes.
Outside of work, Janie enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach, camping and hiking. At home, she can usually be found baking or reading.
Dr Janie Smith works on Mondays,Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. She accepts new patients.
